BLOGS I LOVE
This blog is one I started following on Facebook (it now has over 8m followers on social media). Brandon began the project in 2010, capturing the unique individuals of NYC and documenting their stories – I became fascinated with how people are not always what they seem and the secrets that they hide. The recent series covering Iran and the refugee crisis in Europe was again both eye opening and inspiring.
For me, one of the most genuine digital nomad blogs out there and a constant source of inspiration. Simon Fairbairn and Erin McNeaney are a digital nomad couple who sold everything to travel the world indefinitely, leaving the UK on
1st March 2010 with just a carry-on sized backpack each and a one way ticket to Rio. Since then they have worked continously to make their lifestyle work for them, documenting the highs and lows along the way. Check out their Trail Wallet app here.
One of the original ‘superblogs’ before ‘superblogs’ became A Thing. Sasha Wilkins began her blog anonymously (imagine!! not blogging for the fame!!) back in 2006 until she ‘came out’ in UK Grazia magazine in 2010. A former Wall Street Journal Executive Style Editor, her bio reads like; “one of The Evening Standard‘s Power1000: London’s Most Influential People (2012 & 2013). She sits on the British Fashion Council’s Digital Advisory Panel, was a judge at both the 2014 UK Fashion & Textile, and The CEW Awards, is food and recipe columnist for The Pool, writes for The Wall Street Journal, Red, and Conde Nast Traveller, and has appeared on TV and radio as a lifestyle expert, on shows including ABC’s Good Morning America, BBC Radio4’s Woman’s Hour, BBC World News, and ITV’s News at Ten. She remains a regular fashion week critic for both Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio and The LFW Daily”. Essentially, this woman knows her shit.
